Robert Blaise McNamara
Born Feb. 3, 1925
Died April 29, 2013 blest with the Sacraments and embracing the promise of his faith.
After his active service with the Army in World War II Bob traveled the United States for The D'Arcy Advertising Company.
Then with Tom Burrows, he partnered The Grey Eagle Distributing Company.
Bob's love for golf led him to council youth as a volunteer at Riverside Country Club where he hit a Hole In One.
At retirement Bob volunteered in many capacities for the Church he loved. He was an Oblate of St. Louis Abbey where he shared worship and friendship with fellow Oblates and the dear Benedictine Monks.
Bob's family joy was fulfilled by his wife, Lucy and their three children; Milisa, Mark and Blaise along with two grandchildren; Laylla (Tzu-Lin) and Robert (Lindsay) followed by six great grandchildren ; Brooke, Autumn, Tyler, Jack, Cole and Sissy.
Robert is buried at Jefferson Barracks Memorial Cemetery with his Benedictine Scapular.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Louis Abbey.
Services: Memorial Mass, St. Anselm Parish, 530 South Mason Rd., Creve Coeur, Saturday May 4, 8:45 a.m. Interment Private. A service of the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory. Friends may sign the family's on-line guestbook at Schrader.com.
