Robert and Mary McNamee

Bob was my best friend from the third grade at Ravenna Elementary School. We were friends all through high school and college. We worked together in the Speedee Mart days and with 7Eleven. Although we haven't seen each other very often in the last thirty years I've always considered him my very best friend. I will miss our occasional phone conversations and less frequent personal visits. He and Mary are some of the best people I have every known.

I was so sorry to read of your parents passing. I'm sure you don't remember me, but I was your babysitter for a number of years while your family lived on 129th Ave SE cul de sac. I remember your family fondly. Your father had a big easy laugh and your mother was both gracious and grounded. You kids were spirited but surprisingly well behaved, and you all loved popcorn and being read to at bedtime. You all seemed very happy. It does not surprise me at all that your parents were together...

As pastor at First Congregational, Bellevue Bob was a most supportive friend, affirming and contributing. On occasion he would arrange a lunch, pick me up and we would meet Dale Turner. He was engaging and always wanted to know how I was doing. I remember him with a smile and gratitude. My condolences. Harvey Buer
