Not sure what to say?

Miss you so much, big brother! Stephanie

We were all blessed to have Bob and Jean in our lives. May they continue the journey to atonement and light knowing peace and love.

Jean - I was just told about Bob's passing - and I'm so sorry. I believe we met only a couple of times, but Bob was so helpful to me in his knowledge and his giving spirit and his dedication to the Non-profits he worked with. May he rest in peace. My healing thoughts to you and your family. Best Regards, Mary Edmeades

During the 90's, I contacted Bob about the possibility of converting the Willamette Valley Development Officers organization to a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. Bob never hesitated in taking on this task and he did all the paper work with never a word of reimbursing him for any out of pocket expenses. He was always a true gentleman and a real ambassador for the nonprofit community. I feel fortunate that I was able to talk with him a few days before his passing. He will be missed by all.

Dear Jean, Rob, Mike & family - We will all miss our friend, Bob. The first word that comes to mind when I think of Bob McSweeny is "Integrity," with a capital "I". I enjoyed studying and discussing nonprofit management issues and problem-solving with Bob. I know that he helped set up many nonprofit organizations and not only in Portland but organizations that had a tremendous impact far and beyond our lives. He and Jean have raised a great family that I know Bob loved and cared for very...

Dear Jean, Mike, and Rob,

Though Mac and I were brothers-in-law for only eleven years, we never lost touch with each other during the years that followed. So I consider him one of the wisest and wittiest friends of my life. A rare spirit indeed, generous beyond compare. What more can I say but to quote the last words of Catullus' elegy which I'm sure he knew: "Hail and Farewell!"

Dear Jean,
Our condolences go out to you and your family. We were so saddened to hear of the loss of Bob. We just got back from being out of the country and found out about this sad news. We wanted to briefly visit with him before we left but knowing Bob, he did not want us to see him at that point, so we would not worry on our cruise. We so enjoyed seeing him in the dental clinic at Beaverton Dental. And also at the Beaverton Farmer's Market. He was truly one of the most gracious...

Dear Jean Rob and Mike...my deepest condolences to you on Bob's passing. What a wonderful friend and neighbor. I moved to the Carolwood neighborhood here in Beaverton in 1992. Bob was the first one to come up to me, introduce himself and welcome me to the neighborhood. This was Bob...a constant gentleman. His charming wit and personal reflections on life, politics, history whatever...reminded me of time when neighbors got to know and sometimes depend on one-another. A friendlier time...

My dearest Mac,

You were like a father to me; you were my friend. You and your sweetheart Jean made it possible for me to find the love of my life. I miss you and will love you always.

Until we meet again,
Shawn
