Robert "Bob" Means

A group of us 50 somethings have been reminiscing about Austin TX in the 1980s recently, on social media. A lot of folks have asked about Bob; I'm grateful that this legacy page has arrived in my mailbox today. Bob really did give a lot to his friends and co-workers, and left behind a legacy of love and joy. My heart and prayers are with his family and friends today. Rest In Peace, brother Bob.

my heart is heavy today as i think of Bob. We were co-workers at mother's cafe, as well as co-conspirators on the dance floor. i remember Bob as a very generous and supportive soul who always made me feel better about myself and inspired all around him. thanks, Dancing Bob.

I was so sorry to hear about Bob. I was a co-worker & friend of his during the 80’s at Mothers Café. Bob was everybody’s favorite around there. He was funny, sweet, talented and smart. He was the waiter who came back into the kitchen on a busy night to give the cooks shoulder rubs. He was dynamite on the dance floor! I did run into Bob in recent years from time to time downtown. I would always give him a hug and stop & chat. He was so sweet, he would always tell me my hair looked...

I was so sorry to hear about Bob's passing. Steve and I have some fun memories of college times with Bob. Kim, we are thinking of you.

Bob was a good man, a lover of music and of life. My heart goes out to his Mom, Sister and Grandmother. I am so sorry for your loss. I will remember his many gifts of humor and his exquisite sense of irony. He was a brilliant guy in an often-unforgiving world.
