Not sure what to say?

Dear Sue, Claude and David~

My heart is so saddened to hear of Bob's passing. Bob was such an amazing human being. When Bob served on the board and as President of the American Lung Association of New York, he worked tirelessly to make a difference in the lives of those who suffered from lung disease. His Open Airways for Schools program is a wonderful example of the difference he made in the lives of thousands of New York City children. As a result, he helped to create a program to...

Dear Sue, Claude, and David,

We surely miss Bob. Hugh and I are thinking of you all and sending our deepest condolences. May you find comfort in your family and friends. We surround you with love.

Much love,
Hugh and Karen

Sue,

Bob was a great gentleman. He always had a smile on his face, a word of support, and he was very kind to me in my early, anxious days as a member of the Fleischner Society. I remember him well, with great affection, and with pride that I knew him as a colleague.

Dear Sue and family.
So sorry to hear about Bob. He was an outstanding example of the fact that one can rise to the highest level of academe without losing one's humanity. I will remember his kindness and his insights.

Dear Sue,

We send our deepest sympathy at your loss.
We were privileged to share many wonderful moments with the two of you.
Bob was a mensch in every sense of the word.

Bob was an international tower of strength in his chosen field. Aside from his own very large personal achievments, he leaves a legacy of trainees and colleagues who will continue to advance the field of pediatric pulmonology. This gentle man was the epitome of excellence in patient care, teaching and the scientific approach to medicine. We were fortunate enough to have known him for the past 40 years. He will be greatly missed by many.
Vic & Norma Chernick Winnipeg,Canada

To the end, Bob was a role model to every Pediatric Pulmonologist on the planet. He will be sadly missed, but always remembered. His towering achievements were only matched by his deep personal humility. It was an honor to call him a friend

No obit could be long enough to describe all of Bob's great Qualities.

Bob was a tremendously warm and welcoming friend. We will miss his joyeux de vivre. The Fleischner meetings won't be the same without him. Our heartfelt sympathy to Sue and the rest of the family.
