ROBERT J. "JAY" MENG, age 55. Beloved son of Walter and the late Nancy (nee Kitchen); loving brother of Scott (deceased), Cheryl, Debbie Carrick (Dan), Mary Beth Lute (Michael, deceased), Tracie and Kurt; grandson of the late Jess and Betty Kitchen and Carl and Louise Meng; beloved nephew of the late Robert J. Kitchen, Phyllis Yusko, Florence Green and Sonny Meng; dear uncle of Jason Carrick (Charity), Bridget Carrick (Bert), Jessica Carrick (Brad), Kevin Meng (Morgan), Kristen Kreuzer (Phil), Brittany Lute-Sumer (Fatih), Morgan Lute (Kassie), Ryanne Meng, Aiden Meng, Avery Meng; great-uncle of 15; cousin and friend of very many. Devoted friend to Lori Dalton, Justin Wagner, Rene Plotz and Connie Felice.  After a long battle with mouth cancer and then lung cancer, Jay passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on September 5, 2019. He was a former performer at Geauga Lake, Carnival Cruise Lines, and various community theaters.  His passion was singing.  On weekends he was drawn to gather at his favorite karaoke spot. Through his amazing voice, he has touched the lives and hearts of his many loving friends.  Funeral Service Monday, September 9, at 7 P.M. in the CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of CLEVELAND, 4420 ROCKY RIVER DR. AT PURITAS, where friends may call MONDAY 5 P.M. UNTIL TIME OF SERVICE. Interment private Holy Cross Cemetery.

Jay was A TRUE FRIEND. He was my friend. I will always have a part of Jay with me. He showed the world and me that " THERE SOME GREAT PEOPLE LIVING IN THIS EARTH". I was an employee of NCO. Jay was the Human Resource Director. My father got sick and dying. Jay made sure I could spend as much time with my Dad taking him back and forth to Dr. on a weekly basis until my Dad went home to Glory. I kept my job. I made lots of money.
