Condolences to the family. I still cherish the picture taken by Bob and Marian when my horse escaped from the farm across the street and settled in their yard. They knew how I would appreciate and blew it up for framing. Kind gestures like that are treasured.

I have many fond memories from growing up with Mr. Merrill in our neighborhood. He always seemed like this hulk of a man with his broad shoulders and ability to carry two bundles of shingles up a ladder to a roof. I would be in awe watching him drive a framing nail with two strikes of his hammer. He´d give me that big smile when I asked him to do it again!
