Sandy
I retired from DEC in 2002 as the Natural Resource Supervisor in Region 7. I also am a long time member of the Federation of NYS Bird Clubs and served as president in 89 to 91. I knew Bob from both of these activities. Bob was a professional's professional, a biologist's biologist and a gentlemen's gentlemen. He was always an inspiration to me and a pleasure to know. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Sandy, I met you once when Bob invited me in to your house while we were traveling somewhere to and from work. I always counted on Bob to drive with me anytime I was in New York, which he always did. He is one of the few people that I have missed greatly after he retired. Fortunately that meant he could spend that time with you, rather than me. I always enjoyed hearing of your trips together, such as to Key West, which did inspire me to take my husband there, who Bob also worked with as...

I always enjoyed working with him; he was cool under pressure (not that there was ever too much of that on Little Galloo), always calm, and above all, always a thoroughly nice guy. He was a gentleman. He was always willing to help...and always willing to let others help him. As a Canadian,...

Sandy:
So sad to hear about Bob. We had some good times over the years at Delmar. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Hi Sandy,
Mom and I have been thinking of you and pray that the God of all comfort will comfort you and give you peace. I can only imagine the loss you must feel with Bob's passing. We love you and are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.
Much love,
Aunt Jane & Shelley

I was most pleased and honored to visit with Bob and family last month, at your home. Thank you so much for all the wonderful memories I now have to savor. Although I gave Bob some tough times over the years we worked together, he was a most supportive and sympathetic supervisor. I will miss him very much. Please accept my condolescenses. I will think of you (and him) often; if I can be of assistance at any time, please don't hesitate to call.
