Not sure what to say?

I will always remember Uncle Bobs fun and interesting way of looking at life! He had such a great sense of humor and with his jokes and fun trivia. He sneaked pink and blue food coloring into our milk one Easter and loved to play practical jokes on us! He would also listen to us,I mean REALLY listen and never felt that he had to put his 2 cents in. I hope that there's some decent wine in heaven to share with all at cocktail time, and lots of cheese and crackers too! We will miss you so, you...

I will always carry Tio Bob's memory close to my heart.
Hasta luego querido Tio.

Cousin Robert's gentle spirit, keen intelligence and wit will always be remembered by those who knew him best. His contributions as an historian and scholar will endure, and so will our memories of his many acts of kindness and consideration for others.

We were fortunate to have connected with Bob (Kirk's father's cousin) and Penny in the last five years visiting with them in Santa Barbara and San Diego. We were always welcome and part of the large extended Miller family. Our best wishes for Penny.

As the youngest of the 6 Hawkins children, I couldn't possibly contribute as much to the conversation. When I was young, I do remember waiting to see if General John Miller (Grandpa) would laugh at Uncle Bob's jokes! He always did, so I knew he must have been extremely funny. A remarkable man who had an amazing life and such a giving heart. May his sense of humor live on in all of us.

Where do you begin? There are so many wonderful things you could say and so many memories you could jot down. My best memory is of him calling himself Aunt Bob and Penny, Uncle Penny! Don't remember how that got started but it stuck for years! I will truly miss him. I'm sure he's keeping keeping Dma and Grandpa company during cocktail hour!

"Aunt Bob" was such a big part of all 6 Hawkins children's lives... We were all blessed to have his humor, knowledge and love bestowed on us for the past 43 years.... Christmas'will never be the same w/out Bob and Marian. Kisses to Penny.

He was a wonderful uncle and will remain in my heart always.

Bob will be greatly missed for his kindness and generosity, knowledge and wit.
