I had the honor of being on Bob's board at CSS for most of the time he was CEO. Everything he did was for others without regard for himself. Bob and Susan and Elaine and I were always there for each other through the ups and downs of our careers. Bob was my true friend. Bob visited our farm and we spent 3 wonderful days together digging in the dirt that he so loved with him telling me everything I was doing wrong! I got one of his Valentine day cards which I treasure and immediately sat...

I had the privilege of working for Catholic Human Development Outreach while Bob was at CSS Muskegon. What a joy he brought to every meeting. I will never forget Millsville -- his Christmas setting. He was a lively spirit and quite a light.

I knew Bob two ways. One interesting way was through his employees who would occasionally take my classes at MCC and often as a group contribute in ways that made real differences for all of us. They had learned from him and trusted him.

This obituary brings tears to my eyes it so captures this kind and loving man. I knew Bob from growing up in Galesburg and our years in HS. Had the pleasure of seeing Susan and him in Colorado and with a mutual friend had been looking forward to more occasions. When Bob and Susan were over once, may husband, who says very little if anything about people, said, upon closing the door after their departure, "those are some of the nicest people and best vibes I think I've ever met." He's put on...

A true friend we lost and will be missed tremendously! He visited us in Florida the week he passed away.

I was involved with the hiring of Bob for Director of Catholic Social Services. After only an interview of about 1 hour we knew he was the Man for the job. He never let us down. Thanks Bob, Rest In Peace.

Love and prayers to the family. I was so lucky to know both Susan and Bob. Family was everything.
