Robert Sidney Miner passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2010. We were all shocked, and deeply saddened, we thought he would live forever. Dad was a true legend. He had impeccable integrity, a positive outlook on life, a fantastic sense of humor, a powerful work ethic, and was dedicated to his...

Not sure what to say?

YOU WERE MY FAVORITE PERSON AT ROOSEVELT, I WAS A RALLY BOY AT ROOSEVELT IN 1948, AND GOT TO KNOW YOU IN THE ACTIVITIES THAT WE WERE INVOLVED IN. YOU WERE A VERY NICE MAN. BUT LOOKOUT! IF YOU GOT IN TROUBLE.

I am one of Bob's granddaughters (daughter of Mary) and I love all the memories and comments. I am putting together a website with pictures and an area for people to post jokes and stories about my Bob-Bob. We will hand out cards with the web address at his service this Thursday. Hope to see you all there. He was near and dear to my heart and I will miss him everyday.

Robert Miner was certainly an inspiring force for the Rough Riders! It was so wonderful to see him at our last reunion 5 years ago. He will be sorely missed but will live on in our memories. He was a blessing and we were so fortunate to have his guidance!

What joy you brought into many lives, Rober Miner, principal of Roosevelt High. Your high standards, humility, understanding and great love of life was always shown and shall always be remembered. Sweet condolences to the family. May The Lord be with you.

My deepest sympathies to the Miner family.
Bob lived a happy, full and productive life.
My mother was saddened today, to hear that he had passed away.
He was a wonderful friend to my parents, sharing many happy Bulldog memories together~
He will be missed.

With sadness at the news of his passing, but with joy as to the life he led and the positive influence he had on everyone he met, I bid Mr. Miner "Godspeed." Bob Miner was my principal at Lafayette Elementary many, many years ago. I always felt so special when he would tell my school chums that he and my mother had been friends when they were in college. He never failed to remind me of that fact every time I saw him all these many years. The lovely memories for his family will continue his...

As a former RHS student, Rotary and Shrine brother, I will always remember Bob Miner as a class act. I hope that the family can truly celebrate this man's life. It was full, productive and he was truly someone to be proud of. He had a good life. He will be missed.
