MITCHELL, Robert Knox Robert Knox Mitchell was born at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas, on December 16, 1977 - the first of many places that he filled with a booming voice and a joyful noise. He passed away on May 3, 2016. Rob was truly one of a kind. He was never in a room where...

Not sure what to say?

Rob set up a blood drive four years ago and convinced me to give blood for the first time. I now give platelets and tomorrow I am going in for my 55th donation which makes me think how much his one conversation to me has continued to make a difference and save the lives of people we will never know. This is just one of the many ways he continues his positive influence on the people he met.

Rob - I have many fond memories of our friendship at law school in Texas and wish I could have seen you more often afterwards. In the time you were given, you achieved an enormous amount. Your family and friends loved you, and knew that you loved them. Your passing is one of life's many tragedies, just as the way you embraced life was one of its triumphs. I am so, so sad that you are no longer with us. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Dave and your friends at the...

RIP, Rob. You were the finest ambassador Texas could have hoped for. You will be missed by many. David Sewell (London, UK)

I'm in the youth group at Fumc and let me say he was always the greatest. Always remembering little things like a test someone was about. I always saw how he would take up the other side of an argument to get us to think no matter what he believed. He wanted the best for us. Us being some crazy bunch of teens he jumped into help. I will always Remember him with starburst being thrift at us and deep questions openly encouraged.

Always had a smile on his face, and some humor on his lips. So sorry to hear of his passing.

So saddened to learn of Rob's passing. He was a very special young man and always made you feel he had known you forever. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all and we pray that our LORD will wrap you in his loving arms and give you peace that only he can bring.
Love to Sarah and the girls.

We knew Rob through our dear friend, Martha Mitchell, a justifiably proud mother of a devoted son. We enjoyed family pictures and his irrepressible smile and the obvious love he felt for his family. We met Martha when Rob was already "grown up" and off on his journey in law and building his new life. His legacy is in many kind and quiet gestures, so many of which are noted here. That is the measure of a person's character: what he or she does when no one else seems to be looking. By that...

Sincere condolences goes out to the Mitchell family for your sad loss. Psalms 29:11.

Rob was such an amazing person, husband and father. He will be missed.
