I worked with Bobby Mitchell at CSP - Solano. He was a fairly quiet guy, but always quick with a smile and a friendly hello. My condolences to the family! He was one of the good ones! RIP Mitch

It was with great disappointment that I REAd of the passing of my teammate with the Nippon Ham Fighters in 1979-1980. Bobby really took me under his wing and helped me get use to Japanese baseball. Bobby was a fun loving person with a sense of humor....greatly needed to survive in baseball in Japan. I can remember being on second base with 2 out in a game in Japan when he struck out on a pitch at least 3 feet outside of home plate and called by the umpire. I met him in the dugout and he...

I was very sorry to read of Bobby's passing.I saw Bobby play for the Syracuse Chiefs in 1969,1970 and 1971 where he played center field at old MacArthur Stadium. His terrific catch in the 11th inning helped the Chiefs win the Junior World Series in 1970 over Omaha..Bobby was an outstanding and popular player. My deepest sympathies.

I will forever remember Bobby's athletic feats during his days in Norristown. Baseball, Basketball, Track, etc. His tremendous Baseball capabilities have been admired by so many. I remember watching Bobby play at Latshaw Field in Norristown. His home runs into the Bandshell seats are legendary. Incredible! Bobby was always a very nice, social, and respectful person. You will be missed Bobby. RIP.

Bobby,
You were a boyhood idol of mine when you played Amateur baseball for my Dad in your hometown of Norristown. There were balls you hit at Latshaw Field that I think are still in the air. I remember how hard my Dad (Bill Perrone) worked to get you noticed and signed originally with Boston Red Sox. For many of us you were a legend. So sad to read of your passing. Rest In Peace Bobby.
