Montesano, Robert "Bob" Age 66, of Minnetonka, passed away peacefully Nov. 6th, 2013 in Minneapolis. Bob was a teacher for the Mpls. School District for 35 years ending his career at SW High School. Bob was also an active member of the MTEEA. He was preceded in death by parents, Edmund and Jessie. Bob will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Mary Jo; children, Emily and Rob; stepchildren, Tara, Angi, and Tassuar Massan; sisters, Patricia O'Brien and Jean Montesano; brothers, Peter and Paul; many other family members, good friends, former colleagues and students. Memorial service 8:00 PM Sun., Nov. 10 at the Cremation Society of MN, 7110 France Ave. S., Edina (952-924-4100). Visitation 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Private family interment.

I am so surprised that Bob has left us so young! I worked with him at North High, and found him always congenial, smiling, and positive. What a loss to all of us! (Then I was Miss Helvig.) Blessings and love to all of his family.

Sorry to hear that Bob Montesano has passed away. He was one of my KBEM teachers and probably the teacher I remember the most from my time at North High as a foreign exchange student. I totally agree with others, he was such a nice person.

I just learned of Bob's death today when asking about him at HHH Cancer Center. Bob has been in my thoughts and prayers every day since our first meeting in July and I so enjoyed talking with him each time we were there together. My condolences to his children and especially Mary Jo whom he so loved.

I was so sad to hear of Mr. Montesano's passing. He was a bright light at North High, KBEM radio, and one of the reasons I became a teacher. He was a mentor and a great person. He will be missed.
