Groton - Robert "Robbie" A. Moon Sr., age 68, of Groton, passed away May 10, 2024, at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital. He was born in New London, Nov. 19, 1955, the son of Orchis Shaw Moon of Groton, and the late John W. Moon Jr.
Robbie graduated from R. E. Fitch High School in the Class of 1974, and had been a self-employed carpenter.
Besides his mother, he is survived by a son, Robert A. Moon Jr. of Norwich; his daughters, Jessica Moon of Moosup, and Rachel Lindstrom of Lakebay, Wash.; his brothers, Scott, Randy and Willard; and his sister Carolyn Scott. He was preceded in death by his brother Richard.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 18, at Starr Burying Ground, Lestertown Road, Groton. There are no visiting hours. Please visit www.byles.com to sign the guestbook or share a memory with the family.

We are very sorry to hear of Rob´s passing. Always pleasant and a master carpenter. We lived in Randy´s duplex on Godfrey St. just after getting married in 1990 and Rob had redone the whole house. We loved living there. Our condolences to the Moon family.
