Not sure what to say?

Hey friend. I was expecting a post about Greys Lake on Facebook today and found this...gosh life is something. I am sorry about the turn of events and will pray for your family and legacy. Your light will shine our hearts and the contributions of your family will not be forgotten.

My fellow Hawkeye buddy, I can't believe you transitioned so soon. I know how much you loved life, love, your children and your community. Thanks for your work and legacy. I remember Morris Communications, your books and your God given talent to highlight history about contributions made by African Americans and specifically those in the military.

I will miss you my friend. It's hard to imagine you are gone. It seems so suddenly to me. May you rest in peace. Thank you for sharing...

We will always remember the good work he did in the community and good times we shared as families in Jack and Jill of America. Precious memories. Gone too soon...

Robert and his family were one of the first families we meet when we moved to Des Moines in 1994. My son Thad always considered Robert his second dad. My children Thad and MaKenzie also considered the entire Morris family their family. Hugs to Vivian, Jessica, Rob and Brandon. RIP Robert-- you were a great man!.
