Doc was “Uncle Moe” to my sister Susan and me. We grew up with our father playing music with Doc and have many fond memories of the concerts and gigs they played. A wonderful guy, father, husband and musician, Doc left us all with a great love of his true passion, all kinds of music but especially Jazz.

I well remember him (I first met him 50 years ago!) as an affable, always friendly, highly knowledgeable, and very fine man. He was always generous with his time to young interns and others. My sincere condolences to the entire family.
