Was at first shocked then pleasantly surprised at the new message from the family- Sometimes it seems hes been gone longer, but other times hes timeless. He lives on through all the love of family, friends and even strangers, he was that kind of guy.

Thank you for posting...in these uncertain times, if helps us all to be reminded of the tenets espoused in the Creed. I heard another thought today, attributed to FDR, that the moral basis of democracy is to lead a life of kindness, respect and responsibility to those we know and those we dont.... Bob and I were born only two months apart. I imagine he was someone I would like to have known...be well.

I did not know Mr. Mulvaney and I do not know what brought me to read your remembrance of him. After reading this, I have not heard of the Optimist Creed. What powerful words to live by. Thank you for writing this as this Creed was what Mr. Mulvaney loved and it is something I will try to live by.
