Dear Ellen and Family,
Today is Feb 24th and I just heard about Col Murphy's Sudden passing and am so sadden to hear it, I assure you I have shed a tear in learning about it. He was my Base and Wing Commander at the 183FW, Ill Air National Guard Springfield IL.
"Murph" (his call-sign of course) was a fantastic Commander whom I always had the greatest and utmost respect for. It used to amaze me when we were doing an Exercise on Base to prepare for an Inspection how'd he almost...

I next met him when he joined the Jayhawks. He was one of the best pilots in a unit of outstanding pilots. He was also a true friend. So sorry to hear Bob has passed on he was a big influence in my high school career
He will be surly missed .
Was a great individual.

Dear Michelle, please accept my sincerest condolences and sympathy for the loss of your husband. When I worked with you at St. John's in Springfield, IL, it was clear that you and Bob were building and happy, loving and active family. You succeeded in that beautifully. I am so sorry for your unbelievable loss. May God somehow cover you in peace and comfort.

Dear Ellen and Family:

We were so shocked and saddened to read about Bob's passing. We know how Bob and his brother and sister were cherished by you and John, and we loved hearing about them over the years. We hope the many great memories of time spent together will sustain you at this sad time. Please know you are all in our prayers.
