Robert C. Neason, Sr. 89 of Grafton passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2005, at Grafton City Hospital. He was born September 12, 1915 in Grafton a son of the late Louis J. and Gertrude A. Tiegh Neason. He was a retired civilian employee with the Department of the Army and was a Command Sergeant Major in the U.S. Army serving in Okinawa and the occupation of Japan and Korea. Mr. Neason was a member of the St. Augustine Catholic Church, Elks Lodge # 308 and the Knights of Columbus. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife; Maxine Duckworth Neason, four brothers, three sisters and a daughter-in-law; Betsy-Ann Neason.

Mr. Neason is survived by a son and daughter-in-law; Robert C. and Sammi Neason, Jr. of Grafton, a daughter and son-in-law; Judith Ann and Gene Machniak of Westland, MI, four granddaughters; Debra Lee Wright of Grafton, Christina Kelly and Elizabeth Machiniak of Westland, MI and Catherine Bruning of New Boston, MI, a grandson, Robbie D. Neason of Grafton, six great-grandchildren; Nathaniel Wright, Katlyn Wright, Megan Kelly, Cory Kelly, Madison Kelly, Evelyn Machniak and two step-great-grandchildren; Curtis Glover and Elitea Gower.

Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 8, 2005 at the St. Augustine Catholic Church, Grafton, with Father Ronald Prechtl, Celebrant. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
