Today, I said Goodbye to my " Brother From Another Mother." God Bless the Newland Family for Sharing "Bob" with all of Us & We are Much Better People for your Gift. Stay Blessed because God Is Still Good!

I first became aware of Bob Newland, the Oregon Duck football player. I competed against Bob in the lumber business. We first met in person on a basketball court in a 3 on 3 tournament. We become friends through the lumber futures business and remained friends until he left us. We were kindred spirits. We shared a love of family first, sports, business, and current events. Bob's dry sense of humor knew no bounds. One of his many endearing qualities. I loved him like a brother, and will...

Our sincere condolence to Christie and family for the passing of Bob Newland. He was such a person with full energy and compassion. He had the opportunity to meet our relatives in Taiwan when he visited there on business. We surely will miss him and pray that he is resting in peace in God's kingdom. God bless !

Christie, I met you first at Lincoln Junior High School in Cottage Grove, and later had the pleasure to work with Bob as my financial advisor. You two were such a grand example of happy marital unity. I am saddened to know we have lost such a kind, compassionate, honorable man, yet I am thankful we shared the same journey for a while. Please accept my condolences. God bless you.

Rest In Peace my friend. You built a good life with your sweet wife and God blessed the works of your hands. I will miss you and will always remember you as my friend. To Christie and family, my prayers are with you. I love you all.

Bob was always a class act, whether it was in High School or at our 50th HS reunion. Peace be with you Bob. Condolences to the family.

First, my deepest sympathies to Bob's family. I worked with Bob for several years at Smith Barney. Undoubtedly he was one of the finest individuals I've ever known. His generosity knew no bounds. He offered me the use of his condo in Hawaii which lead to my engagement with my wife Kat. I am going to miss him deeply. Thanks Bob.

We are so sorry to hear about Bob. Roosevelt worked with Christie for many years with the 4j school district and wanted to send our love to you and your family. We´ll pray for your peace and comfort. God bless you! Roosevelt and Kristin White

My Deepest Sympathies to Bob's Family. Met Bob in 1958 at Bill Bowerman's All Comer's Meets. Great Athlete and Person. Last time I saw him was at the Oregon/Auburn championship Game. You are always Better when you cross paths with people like Bob.
