Not sure what to say?

Dear Ones,

It was with great sadness that we
recieved word of the death of Bob.

My sister and her husband, Eleanor
and Don Thie, wish for us to send
your their sincere sympathy also.

I once read that love is a 'grief'
word. Those who choose to love will eventually experience grief.
Yet, who of us would wish to go through life without having loved.

YOu will miss your dear husband,
father, grandpa, uncle, friend. Let...

Dear Aunt Rose Ann, Kathryn, Dave & Steve:

My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this most difficult time. I have so many special memories of Uncle Bob and will cherish them always. Every time I play my music box now, it will warm my heart as it always has, and bring me back to the special times we shared. I'll never forget the singing in the car, Fort Ord, and the picnics in the "dunes". God bless,
Lynne Damery

I knew Mr. Nichols through his son Steve. Mr. Nichols was young-hearted and full of life. He's an inspiration to me. I wish all of the family the best. He will be missed.

I've known Dr. Nichols since I first met his son, Dave, in ROTC Basic Camp almost 30 years ago. Dr. Nichols and Rose Ann have always welcomed me into their home, no matter the occasion. This was never illustrated so well as the night before I shipped out to Fort Bragg when I was mobilized for Desert Storm. It was a couple of days after Christmas, and I had to cut short my visit to my family in NJ to get back in time and pack, so I was feeling kind of blue. Bob and Rose Ann were gracious...

I have known Bob since I was a little girl helping out with the volksmarch club. He was always happy to see me volunteer with the club and go on walks. He loved to hear about the interesting things I learned in culinary school. I will dearly miss his wonderful smile and great personality at the volksmarch meetings and annual cookie swap. He was such a great listener and person, I will dearly miss him, and he will be missed by many.

You will be missed in the Sugarloafers and the volksmarch community, among the many communities you were such a great contributing part of. I lost a dear walking friend and a great guy to talk to! Always a friend, may peace be with you now Bob, and God bless you and your family! Kevin

I admired and respected Bob as a Colonel, gentleman and friend I first knew him as a teenager, in Clifton, New Jersey. I considered his Mother a dear Christian friend. She would tell me about his family and his accomplishments. I was very impressed. When we planned to rededicate the Clifton War Memorial Colonel Robert Nichols name came to mind. An invitation was extended for Bob to speak and he accepted. The day of the Rededication program his Mother was very proud of her son. After...
