Not sure what to say?

Sad news....

I just heard about Rob's passing with much sadness. I only knew him as the friendly face at the Metro every morning, always a smile and helpful information. I've missed him in the past few weeks, and I am so sorry to hear of his loss. My sincere sympathy to his family and friends. May he rest in peace.

Your 'Good Mornings' will be missed!! (I only knew you as 'the dog walker'). The little mail carrier.

RIP little brother. Always a member of the Payne family. Many loving memories.

Rob was my brother from another mother. We went to high school together & came to DC for colleghe - he to GWU & me to Howard. We had some of the best times learning how to get around DC! We worked at the Post together as new grads, he stayed & found a great place. Rest in peace 13th child!

Rob Nicholson 4 ever

My dude will be forever missed. Eternal gratitude for setting me on the right path. Rest in Power!

Robert (RoDee) Nicholson, was my first boyfriend. We met in 10th grade at Springfield Gardens High School. We both wore white to the Prom in 1976. We used to go to his apt. in Rochdale Village, Queens, NY and spend countless hours listening to every R & B album ever made. He loved bike riding, baseball and Horse racing. We spent a lot of time at Shea Stadium and Belmont Park. He was very close to my family. My parents regarded him as their own. He also loved to eat popcorn with lots of butter...

I worked with Robert at the Washington Post. When I started there in '82, it was with the best crew. I think on those days with a smile on my face. Robert will be missed.

I'm saddened to hear of Rob's passing. He hired me and was my first manager at TWP. He was very supportive, funny and an overall nice person. May God hold his family and friends close during this time of sorrow. R.I.P., Rob.
