Bob and I were very close friends during our sophomore year at Occidental College. I watched news of Bob in the Alumni magazine for the next 58(!) years. A trip to Alaska in May, 2019, gave me the chance to visit Glenallen and the Tastee Freeze that Bob owned. I found numerous people in Glenallen, Valdez, and Palmer who knew him but sadly, I arrived only a week after his memorial. So sorry for your loss of Bob. What a special person. He was such a supportive ear when our own daughter was diagnosed with Juvenile diabetes. Felt a kinship with him and a friendship. Better having known him and the world a better place from his being here. Rest In Peace
