Not sure what to say?

I miss my dad more today than even yesterday. This is not getting easier. Why is it that I have so much that I want and need to say to him? I still have the urge to pick up the phone and hear his voice on the other end. I miss you dad....more today than yesterday!!!

Sunny, Thank's for the opportunity to share some of my thoughts and feelings about your brother and my friend. He was truly a great guy. We first met in 1955 at Washington High School in Portland, Oregon. We were classmates. Bob was a warm person and had a smile that was unique and worth millions. Everyone who knew him liked him. He was an automatic friend to most everyone he met in his life; Be it strangers or people he knew over extended periods of time, Bob was "the man". His love of...

It's hard to stare at a blank window on a computer screen with a cursor blinking and think of the perfect thing to share with everybody about your Dad. Do you write about the funniest thing he ever did? That would be difficult: there's the adolescent years with stories involving characters that are on the verge of unbelievable; the high school years (Portland to Seattle and back, or was it the other way around?); the college years in Missouri (the Nicki Lomagino stories are the best); the...

Without a doubt, Bob is in a better place than what he had to endure the last year. Having known Bob over the years I saw a zest for life in a person who could make anyone laugh. Bob had many friends and will be truly missed.

Dear Bob. I did not spend too much time with you, but I remember your funny stories and great humor. You came and visited us in Concord after Thomas was born, and gave him the cutest Air Jordan
tennis shoes! (His first shoes!). We also had some great times at Sunny`s during holidays. You always made us all laugh! We will miss you! Love from Karin Nore (Todd`s wife)

I will always be thankful I had Bob as my uncle.

My first memory of him was when he taught me how to do the dog paddle. By throwing me out into the deep end, I had to paddle. He also taught me how to play basketball, football, raquetball, etc.. Probably most of all, Bob taught me how to be a good sport. Whenever he came over we would play football or basketball, and he made sure everyone got a chance to play. Even the three year old standing on the side line. Bob would ask, "do...

Reading all these messages from my family has made me cry for the first time since my Uncle died, something I needed to do. I live far away and was unable to say goodbye to him, in fact, I arrived in California one day too late. These notes brought a realty to his death that was not there before. I really miss him and wish so much that I could have shared more time with him before he died. I love you Bob.

Usually time flys by, but the last year has not because of Bob's illness. Last year I was with him on his Birthday, which is today, it seems eons ago. I remember him giving gifts on his birthday, he was very weak and it must have been hard for him to shop. We were hopeful that he would do nothing but get better and better. It is so sad to not have him to call or see and give a big birthday hug. If you have ever hugged my brother you know how he smelled. He had a wonderful smell, it...
