I will never Bob. From the time I was a young thing on West 69th, and he was "old" at around 50 something, he was the mentor, the friend to all. We planned the first Street Fair and he held the top post. I attended in 2011, and now it is 12 years later. I am now the old lady, nevertheless with good memories of my dear friend.

Bob Noto was simply one of the most charismatic, funny, caringest person I had ever met. I was a young woman for the first time away from home on LI in 1968, living on West 69th Street. Somehow I found out about the upcoming Block Party on our street. We worked almost daily in the church, creating decorations, gathering wares to sell, and making the party among the first and certainly the best block party in that big city.
