Not sure what to say?

Father taught me to serve the Solemn High Mass. He was my boyhood confessor. I looked up to him and liked him very much, as did many at St. Rose of Lima. He was a wonderful sacerdotal example. My sympathy to his family. Requiescat in pace Dr. Bern Hartmant

To the Family of Father O'Leary.

Father O'Leary married us at St Philomena's in 1993 and over the years, we'd watch our wedding video and listen again to his very wise words. My favorite story is one he told from Fiddler on the Roof. And, over the years, as our marriage has been blessed by joy and challenged by illness and the loss of parents, we found comfort in his wedding blessing. Several years ago, I wrote to him in Toms River to thank him for the time he took with us before we...

I also knew Father Bob from St. Philomena's. A kind, gentle man. God bless you!

Father trained me as one of the senior altar boys at St. Rose of Lima He was also my confessor. I will always remember him with affection and respect.

To All the O'Leary and O'Sullivan Families..with deepest condolences on the loss of dear Father Bob. He was the ultimate Priest. Our family will miss him with that wonderful Irish smile and goodness. Precious memories from St. Matthew, Ridgefield NJ..we were truly blessed to count him as "friend" and confident..our sons learned water skiing on his lake, happy lunch times at his shore house. too many times from Les Miz, PaperMill, we just cherished those days. With love, Gene Loretta Brad &...

You will be missed. I was an altar boy at St Rose in your first years a priest. You always took a group of us to Darlington to enjoy sports and friendship. Graduated in 1956 and thought of you often over the years.
God Bless

My wife and I have known Fr. O'Leary for many years from when he first came to St. Philomena's in Livingston. Being an electrician, I did work at his home in Lake Mohawk. When our oldest daughter was preparing to marry, Fr. O'Leary offered the use of his home for the wedding reception. We did not accept his gracious offer, but we were so touched by his generosity. I saw Fr. O'Leary a few times after he left St. Philomena's and I was a guest at his home in Toms River. I was always amazed...

Dear Ed and entire family of Fr. Bob,
I met Fr. Bob at St. Matthew's and loved him immediately. He took a number of us and our children up the lake for wonderful days on his boat. My friend Mary O' became Mary O'O'. Recently was seeing him at St. Luke's and he was at my husband's wake and funeral. His wonderful smile and his understanding empathy will be sorely missed.

To Fr O'Leary's family.
I was saddened to hear the news of Fr. O'Leary passing. I can honestly say that I have thought of him so very often over the years. I knew him for 40 years. I met him when he was in Ridgefield and I was in the 8th grade class. He took the entire class under his wing, it was so refreshing. He took us to Lake Mohawk, taught us how to waterski and along the way we laughed and learned so much from him. He was such a wonderful man. He was someone I could confide...
