Not sure what to say?

Bob was truly an inspiring, transformative leader of the University of Minnesota community. He established the foundation for the University of Minnesota Foundation and mentored its leaders for several decades. He was always gracious, caring, inspiring and enthusiastic in support of the public good in his political career and in his leadership at our University. He leaves a lasting legacy . Bob Bruininks, President Emeritus

I will miss my Cousin Bob Odegard - I think that I am not the only person who wonders 'why did we not stay in touch".
We were last together ~25 years ago ("the cruise") and ~50 years ago (Bob addressed a Young Republican Club, I think it was in Coon
Rapids) as a Candidate for Congress and he took me (a college kid back in Minnesota) with him - memories of specific things that he said remain and they make me think of 'a wise man, and a nice man'.

Condolences to Bette, Phyllis,...

What a special man! I'll miss him.

We first met Bob and his wife at Wednesday nite duplicate bridge in Audubon. He was a fine, gentle man and we still saw him at Audubon even tho he moved several years ago. I'm sorry he left us...he'll be missed

Bob showed his capacity for distinguished service while in the legislature and throughout the remainder of his life. He inspired many throughout his years and it was a joy to work for him..

Growing up there was nothing more fun than coming to Princeton to see the Odegards. It was the first time I "tried" ice skating and the first time I had ever seen a color tv. Our parents were great friends and then as a mortgage banker I at times did mortgages for your Mom when she was in Real Estate.... a very prominent and wonderful family. I am sorry for the loss of such a fine man.

I share in the sadness of your father's passing. He was a good friend (as well as a cousin) to our father, visiting during illness and staying in touch. He certainly leaves a legacy to be proud of. My thoughts are with you at this time. Bette Perman
