Not sure what to say?

He was interested in his students and was always ready to help them when needed.

I worked for Dr. Olney from 1990-1994 as a part time Student Assistant, and he had a huge impact on my life. He taught me so much about being responsible, reliable, and professional. He also showed me to have compassion and show concern for others. He treated me like family and always gave me the most thoughtful gifts. To this day, I still wake up to the alarm clock that he gave me for Christmas in 1992 or 93. I just now did a search for him and found that he was gone. I wish I could tell...

Bob was a great man, he took me and my brother in as a foster child. We loved him dearly. He changed my life. I an so grateful to him. May he rest in peace, never forgotten. Always a part and memory in my life. I loved him and his family. Thanks for so many great memories in my life.

In so many ways, he illustrated the focus of a good life. I enjoyed his stories and his hospitality. Cats and an aquarium both commanded his attentiveness. His service to the profession was almost unlimited. I think of Richard and the others in his family and circle of friends. He continues to...

Bobby (as I knew him) was one of my first boyfriends. We all played in the JBU grounds and I think of him so sweetly. God's rest be your dear Bobby.

Jessica and I wish to extend our condolences to Bob's family as well as Richard and his family. Jessica had just reached out to who she remembers as a little girl calling her Papa Bob, her last full semester at NSU Tahlequah. Unfortunately , we weren't aware of his cancer. She mailed a letter letting him know of her thoughts and prayers. She is sad that she didn't get the chance to reconnect. Bob is truly an amazing soul, one whose light shined upon everyone he met, he always had a smile...

Dr. Olney showed how to be simultaneously gracious, professional, and genuine. He set a valuable example as an adviser and as a gentleman.

Bob was such a delightful man, both Willie and I are glad we got to know him thru his nephew Scott. I will miss seeing him at the Long Center where he would come in smiling and always greeting me with a Hi Delia and a hug. Rest in peace Bob. Our condolences and prayers to all his family.

Dr. Olney was such a kind human being and a true professional, He was a wonderful man and he made many great contributions to Texas State, the students, the university community, and the McCoy College of Business. My deepest condolences to the family. He was a good man.
