With the loss of Rob, a generational connection for me that goes back to to 1935 comes to an end. Lucy and I became special friends at age 4 in kindergarten. The friendship extended to Rob when he and Lucy were married in 1954 and I was in the wedding party. I was privileged to enjoy being part of their family as it grew with six children and 13 grandchildren. Lucy's unexpected death was unbearable but it helped to continue to have a special tie with Rob and his grandson Danny who lived...
