Bob, whenever I give to the arts I think of you. You taught me that the arts lift a child to a place they may never be able to go with out a performance that takes them there.

Mr. Olsen was a fabulous, caring, and inspiring teacher, with a wonderful sense of humor. I'm sure none of his many students will forget him. The amount of work he put into every Lamplighter production was incredible. Bob was a great light and source of exuberance to his friends and students. His generosity initiated legacy art projects and sustained established cultural giants in Dallas. Most of all, Bob's deep compassion for aspiring artists and those with sensitive souls touched me the most. Love you forever, dear friend.

Bobby was so fun to be friends with and he was friends with everyone at Hillcrest. He will be missed. I feel lucky to have known him.
