GREENVILLE — Robert T. "Bob" Olwine, Jr., age 92, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2021, 7:14 p.m., at the Brethren Retirement Community of Greenville. Bob was born February 13, 1929, in Greenville, the son of the late Robert T. and Lessie (Runner) Olwine.
Bob and his wife Barbara were the owners of Fourman's Mens and Ladies Wear and Fourman's Bridal and Formal Wear retiring in 1999.
He was a Veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, V.F.W., Masonic Lodge and Elks Lodge, all of Greenville. In addition, he was a past member of the Greenville Kiwanis Club, had served on the Greenville City Service Commission, and in much earlier years, was active the Boy Scouts and Little League Baseball.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by aunts and uncles, Martha and Byron Davenport, Virginia and Ray Delk, as well as Blanche and Galen Fourman.
Bob is survived by his wife Barbara (Buckley) Olwine of Greenville. They were married in July 8, 1951. Also, children, Steve Olwine of Greenville, Tom (Sherri) Olwine of Bellbrook, and Ed Olwine of Atlanta, Georgia; grandchildren, Tiffany (Kurt) Labig, Brooke (Scott) Day, Brittany (Rob) Olwine, Jeff Monbeck and Mark (Erica) Monbeck; as well as great-grandchildren, Kie, Keely, Kade, Kinsley, Hope, Ava, Landan, Bryce, Forest and Cidney.
Funeral Services will be held Monday July 12, 2021, at 10 a.m., in the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio, with Pastor John McRoberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenville Cemetery where Full Military Graveside Services will conducted by the Greenville Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends Sunday, from 2 until 4 p.m., in the funeral home with the Greenville Masonic Lodge conducting a Masonic Memorial Service at 4 p.m., followed by the Greenville Elks Lodge conducting a Lodge of Sorrow Service.
It is the wishes of the family that Memorial Contributions be given to the Alzheimer's Association.
