Robert Stuart Osborne, age 89, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025, at the Smyth County Community Hospital in Marion, VA.
Robert was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 66 years, Ruth Richardson Osborne, his parents Reeves and Eugenia Osborne, and his sister Drema Robinson. Robert will be remembered for his, devotion to his family and his love of hunting and storytelling.
He is survived by his two daughters, Robin Buck (Charlie), and Rhonda Gerrald (Steve); three grandchildren, Brandon, Heath (Cristina), and Luke, and his brother Denver Osborne (Louise).
Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00PM, Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at Rose Lawn Cemetery in Marion with Brother Eddie Doss officiating. Full military honors will be rendered by the U.S. Navy and Francis Marion V.F.W. Post 4667. The family will have a private visitation at Bradley’s Funeral Home Chapel. Robin and Rhonda, We have so many wonderful memories of our parents playing cards and games until all hours in the night. They would laugh for hours. We remember the picnics and all the overnights we had at each other's homes. This is such a hard season for all of us and Matt and I will remember you all in our prayers. I remember one Valentine's Day your dad brought me, Debby, and Diane a little box of heart candy . We were only about 6 or 7 yrs old
