Not sure what to say?

He was a great teacher, person and friend He will be greatly missed by many

Pastor of Engleside Church of God.

May the peace of God be with the family. His life story if written could say this, "A Life Well Lived." What a blessing to have share a little of his life's journey ... It was a true privilege to have known him. May God bless the family.

Mr. Ossont was my mentor. I attended Fabius Central and graduated in 1971. For 4 years I believe I took every class that he taught. I learned milk testing, auto mechanics, electrical and welding. Mr Ossont had a way about him that was truly original. He could teach you something when you didn't want to be taught. He was amazing.
I owe my career to this man. He once told my father that I had the natural ability to weld and welding is what I did. I know that he had something to do with...

I remember Mr Ossont from FPHS shop classes. He was my brothers favorite of course! Rick Woodford always had great stories to tell about what happened in shop class today!! And I remember Hearing that Mr Ossont attended every funeral of every student he ever taught! Just an amazing man who also by the way had my dad in his class, not to mention uncles and several cousins also. I couldn't imagine to count the number of lives he touched in so many ways! But just think of the greeting he...

My thoughts and prayers are with you, Linda, Elaine, Roberta, and Jim, as well as your families. He was a wonderful man and a pillar of Sheds and the Town of DeRuyter. You have many great memories of a man with a long, well-lived life. Love to all of you. Janet Bush Buttino

Rest in peace MR.OSSONT. The greatest teacher a student could have. His devotion to his students will go unsurpassed. I witnessed him instructing and mentoring many students that would not have finished school without him "caring". Some of these became very successful.
Class of 57'.
