Not sure what to say?

Bob Owen was such a treasured friend to Skip Bowman. He talked about him often. Playing sports with him & getting help with school work. I had the privilege of meeting Bob ai Sea Isle one summer. Rest in peace Bob. Love, Ronnie

I'm so sorry to hear of Bob's passing! He was such a wonderful person; we had a lot of fun at the local bar in Ann Arbor and at Field Camp (I was a TA for the intro. geology sequence for two summers, in 1991 and 1992 I think).

I was deeply saddened to hear of Bob's passing; he was my friend and one of my mentors during my time at Michigan (1977-1984). As a TA in his graduate oceanography course, I was able to observe first-hand how much he enjoyed interacting with the students and how he loved his work. I really liked talking philosophy with Bob, a weekly occurrence over a beer at the Blue Frog or Good Time Charlie´s. He always threw in a personal anecdote to bring my poorly formulated philosophical notions to...

On behalf of Bob´s siblings I want to thank our friends, family and Bob´s colleagues for the outpouring of love and support we have received regarding Bob´s passing. Bob was such a positive force in our lives and was dearly loved. He was the best big brother and corralled us like baby chicks to assure we became successful by being our role model and mentor. We are devastated and gutted by his untimely loss but take great comfort in knowing he lived a wonderful and happy life on his own...

It was my leasure to serve under Bob as his Associate Director in the LSA-SNRE Program in the Environment. Generations of undergraduates will benefit from Bob's contributions, and will carry his legacy long into the future.

We very deeply saddened to learn of Bob's passing and extend our heartfelt sympathies to Susie, Ryan and Tim and their families, and to Bob's and Susie's other family members and friends. We met Bob in his role as the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Education in the College of Literature, Science and the Arts at UM, Ann Arbor. He became a dear friend and mentor. As Associate Dean, he launched several new undergraduate programs and major fields of study, and introduced significant...

Bob ...what can I say. Such a kind, gentle , understanding man. Rest in Peace.

Bob was my best friend from grade school on. We stayed in touch over the years . He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
