Robert Parker Obituary
11/15/1929 - 03/19/2023
Robert Samuel Parker, 93, passed peacefully at home in Hempstead, TX on March 19, 2023. Robert's celebration of life will be held at Heights Funeral Home (1317 Heights Blvd, Houston, TX 77008) on Saturday, March 25th with visitation starting at 11:00am and memorial service at 1:00pm. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery (1101 Antoine Dr., Houston, TX 77055).
Robert was born in Beaumont, TX on November 15, 1929. He attended Robert E Lee High School and graduated with a degree in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin in 1958. He had a 30+ year career at the IRS before retiring in 1992. Robert lived and raised his family in Houston, TX before retiring to Weir, TX and then later moving to Hempstead, TX.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Walter Lee & Nancy Frances Burrell Parker, and sisters Geraldine Brown and Ann Arnett. He is forever remembered by his loving wife of 65 years, Faustine Hobbs Parker; and sister Mary Sue Johnson and brother in law Gayle; his daughter, Pam Parker; daughter Penny Crane and husband Kevin; son Scott Parker and wife Diane; Grandchildren: Michael Cardone, Haley Boyle & husband Michael, Dylan Parker & wife Alex, Colin Parker & wife Hannah; and Great-grandchildren: Lake, Reef, Cove, and Briggs
