Dear Rob (and Family),
With you, I got to be the friend I always wanted to be for someone. I think it was partly that time, for us, was limited, and we stayed in the moment. And many of those moments were wonderful and detached from clocks. It was like in one of Faulkner's stories - if you wanted to see the bear in the forest, you had to toss away your wristwatch. You showed me the bear.
I will never forget your courage in facing what was taking your life.
And I will never forget your loving
kindness. - Reid

I'll remember our road trip to and from Sedona, and more recently your giving me a free ticket -- nearly front row seat-- to my 1st Jazz Festival that we shared. I appreciated your friendship and kindness.

Uncle Rob I will miss you! Even though I have been in Boston for the last five years and have not seen you much, I have fond memories of you from my childhood. I remeber you playing football, badminton and hide & seek with Michael I at the Josselyn Canyon house when were the only kids of course until you gave us cousins to play with. Maybe we wore you out? Ha, ha. We will all truly miss your great laughter at our family gatherings but remember you with the many stories.

See you in our next life, and maybe we will be playing "kick-the-can" again in your backyard. You were truly a great childhood friend and with that comes many great memories, and I thank you for that. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Goodbye old friend. Even though we lost contact after high school, I still heard about what you were doing from others and talked to your Mom walking along Josselyn Canyon a while back. My heart goes out to your family, especially your Mom. No parent should have to go through losing a child. Be at peace.
