Not sure what to say?

Add me to the list of kids Bob helped over the years. I first started working with him in early high school and for the next 2-3 years after that. He was always very encouraging to me and the other guys. I believe the work I did with Bob contributed meaningfully to my being able to go on and play baseball at the college level. Also--he often came out and watched WS Legion play where 2 of his "kids" (me and Dan Chieffalo) were competing in the 1985-1987 timeframe. Bob was simply a really great...

Bobby Pass was the best baseball coach I ever had. He taught me how to enjoy the game of baseball. I will never forget all the time he spent with me on the baseball diamond/Battaglia field for free, not charging a fee, which is unheard of today. He will be missed by the Hyde Park baseball family and my family fondly holds a special place for him. Thanks again Bobby for all your time and my prayers are with your family. John Cerniglia

Bobby P. was such a positive influence to so many baseball players, Every day Bobby would be at the field to pitch to anyone who wanted to practice. You could bat until your hands bled, yet Bobby would continue pitching. All you had to do with Bobby was hustle when others were batting and get along with others. I was 7 years old when my father brought me to one of Bobby's daily practices. Everyone was older than I but I never felt unwelcomed. Through Little League, Teener League, Babe Ruth, ...

Sorry to learn of the death of a man who played baseball in Carthage, MO in 1949. I found him in 1995 and we struck up a friendship through a publication called the KOM League Remembered. We spoke many times by phone and he loved baseball and family as much as any person I ever knew. I'll miss him. John Hall--Editor KOM League Remembered

Am sorry to hear about Bob passing. I knew him from west scranton middle school. Bob was a great person and a very good friend.. I would always run into him at Keystone and have coffee.. I will dearly miss him.. God bless.. My prayers are with his family...

He was Uncle Bob to me my Mother's youngest brother I got to know him better after he retired and we would have coffee and raisin cookies at Aunt Mary's house and he would tell me stories about my Mother and my family before I was born. I would love to hear the stories sometimes over again

He played a fair game - on the field and in life. I'm going to miss him. He always joined us for lunch at the Keystone Restaurant.

Bob Pass was very instrumental in my development as a baseball player. He taught me how to play the game the right way and did it out of the goodness of his heart. I will always cherish the time he spent with me on and off the field. To this day I remember what bob had taught me, and in turn show other kids his teachings. He is missed, but always remembered fondly as he holds a special place. Daniel Chieffalo, Valley Forge Pa

My sincere condolences to Bobby's family.
He was an extremely positive influence to generations of young baseball players, especially on the West Side. I was one of them, and honor his memory.
