Not sure what to say?

I am always thankful he did my surgery and influenced me to become an orthopedic surgeon. Incredible person and physician.

I was filling out a physician´s questionnaire form and checking out Dr Robert Patek who did my shoulder surgery in 2001or 2002 when I was shocked to learn he had passed. He even brought his son into the office that day. A wonderful and caring doctor. My condolences to the family.

I have great memories of Bob Patek. I used to speak to his brother at The University of Michigan all of the time and I wish his parents and family well. I pray and hope that his wife and children are getting along well along with the rest of his family. That you and Bob chose each other means that you are special to everyone like him.

Will always remember the legend and reason I chose to pursue a career in orthopedic surgery. You are missed!

I am continuously reminded of bob. I have Prior patients of his from years ago that list his name on their surgery forms when seeing me. I always tell them we share in common that we both had surgery from the legendary doc Patek , as he did my acl when I was in highschool. I also tell them that he was the reason I became an orthopedic surgeon. He was an amazing human and will always be in my thoughts.

Dr Patek was an outstanding physician and a wonderful man. He took care of half of my family and really helped my son get back in the game. He talked about his family often very proud of them - doing whatever was good for them. A great man and one I will remember forever!!

Dr. Robert Patek will never be forgotten. Bob was shimmering example of performance by both word and deed, on and off the field, in and out of the classroom, and from the clinic and labratory to the operating room theatre. Admired and respected by classmates, teamates, colleagues and patients.

I never knew Bob's family but I can only imagine he was a prince of man at home as a husband, father and provider. Anything less would not have met the high standard he set for himself and...

I lived next to the Pateks for 24 years. It was a huge shock for me when we lost such a friendly and compassionate man. He was a wonderful human being. He is sorely missed.
