Not sure what to say?

RIP Ernie. Loved playing JV basketball for you. Jay Young. Clio class of 77.

Prayers to Matt and family, I have fond memories of Ernie coaching our baseball team at Clio, winning big 9 jv championship, and playing softball against him at Bristol Road.

Ernie was a great guy and a fierce competitor---I only knew him from Northwest Bowl

Our daughter was fortunate to play softball for Ernie in the 7th & 8th grade in Clio. He did a great job!

Our condolences to Bill, JoAnn, Scott and Ryan Batey and the all of the Patton family. I was fortunate enough to share some wonderful memories with Ernie. May he now rest in the arms of the Lord.

Thoughts and prayers for the family and friends Great man was glad to know him Ted and Vickey Ormiston

Lots of time growing up with Aunt Glenda and Uncle Ernie. He and my dad were best friends growing up who married sisters. Uncle Ernie always coached and supported his kids and nephews. I remember being about 13 years old and about 6 of his boys and nephews lost pick up basketball games because he NEVER missed a shot. He was hilarious at times. Watching his Clio High School ball teams in the early 80´s was a blast. Even when my kids and grandkids played sports he was highly supportive even...

There was a period of time I stayed with Glenda and Earie. I was a student of Glenda’s. He made me my first salmon patty, eggs with melted cheese and was always so pleasant to be around. He would give me a ride to school on occasion. He was so generous and really loved the students. Him and Glenda both were a huge part of my educational experience. Give Glenda a hug for me.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Uncle Ernie will be greatly missed. He always made me smile. Love You ❤ Cheryl Reid and family
