Not sure what to say?

Bob was a wonderful Sunday School teacher and was responsible for my love of motor boats and water skiing. The things he taught us in Sunday School are still with me...finally sold the boat.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Payne family.

Bob is now away from confusion and stress in the arms of his Saviour. He was our most loved usher on Team 8 and was always, even when a little confused, the first to arrive and smiling until the bitter end. I take great pride in having him as a good friend. We will miss your kind and generous spirit. You seemed to truly enjoy life and your energy was infectious. Our son, Will, found your stories inspirational and we will forever appreciate your kindness towards him. We're sure you are the life of the party up there, Hawkeye! Love to you and your family. The McAllen Van Burkleos

Bob Payne was a wonderful, caring and entertaining man to be around! He loved to sing and laugh. He will be missed so much by those of us at the office who were fortunate enough to be around him!

I met Mr. Payne four years ago when I joined the firm. He was such an inspiration. I will miss him dearly. Rest in Peace Mr. Payne

The Baton Rouge Van Burkleo's remember Hawkeye for his love of life and twinkle in his eye. He lives on through his precious children and grandchildren. Our thoughts and prayers are with Ginnie and the family.

Mr. Payne was a gracious, generous man who always seemed delighted to talk with everyone. For several years I sat outside his office at the law firm where he worked and I enjoyed him so much. He was playful and lovable and will be missed by everyone who knew him.
