pink elephants

This image is special to me, it's my way of paying respect to my grandfather who passed away recently.

I remember Grandpa Joe used to drive me and my siblings to school in the mornings (as my sister Shana already mentioned) when my grandparents would visit San Diego, CA from Buffalo, NY.

Every now and then, Joe would start honking the horn when there was seemingly nothing on the road, he would exclaim ' Did you see that?! Pink Elephants! Right there in the road! Three of them!'...

Grandpa Joe would drive me to school whenever he visited and would beep his horn as imaginary pink elephants, and always stop for donuts as a treat on the way to school. Every Christmas was spent with him and Grammy in Buffalo (Tonawanda), NY. Tons of snow every year, and plenty of boot-hockey games for me and Grandpa Joe against my two brothers. Off to Ted's hot dogs and back to their home. My fiances favorite story of me as a kid includes Grandpa Joe - who promised that I was fine to go...

WOW!!! AMAZING!!! INCREDIBLE!!! Some descriptive words for my fathers life. He did so much for family, friends & Tonawanda!! He was constantly on the go. From working 2 to 3 jobs, raising Chris & I, and helping a community through his involvement with Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, baseball teams and hockey teams. I remember all the scouting trips up to Algonquin Provincial Park, Camp Scout Haven plus a few others. My favorite memory was being in the Tonawanda parades dressed up as a...
