Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at Victoria Hospital, London on Wednesday, May 23, 2018, Robert Leslie "Bob" Peel in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Bernice (Meunier) Peel for 64 years. Dear father of Pat Peel (Tina), Peggy Bonk (Terry), Betty-Jean Laws (Bill), Bobby Peel (Sandy), Mary-Catherine Bouzied (Jim) and Ella-Marie Ozinga (Warren). Grandfather of Tyler, Travis, Sean, Katie, Lisa, Jesse (Nicole), Billy (Kaitlyn), Cindy (James), Jimmy, Sara, Mike, Jenna (Steven), Evie (Deshawn), Brett and Sylvie (Brandon),. Great-grandfather of Reuben, Colton, Zayden and Rylie. Also survived by his brother David Peel (late Nan) of Mapleridge, B.C. and his brother-in-law Hector Meunier (Jackie) of Dieppe, N.B. Predeceased by his brother Jim Peel (Denise), his brothers-in-law Gerry Gauvin (Marie) and Paul Meunier and his sisters-in-law Eva Wood (Harry) and Lorraine Leblanc. He will be sadly missed as "Uncle Bob" by many of his special nieces, nephews and friends. Bob was a longtime member of St. Mary's R. C. Church and served the community for many years as a dedicated member of the St. Vincent De Paul Society. Visitors will be received in the O'Neil Funeral Home, 350 William Street, London on Monday, from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Mary's Church, 345 Lyle Street at York on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m., followed by interment in St. Peter's Cemetery, London. The family would like to thank the staff at Victoria Hospital for their kindness and special care. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Vincent De Paul Society or the London Regional Cancer Centre.

Our dad was a true gentleman and a man of faith , he always wore his Sunday best to church.

Our dad was a giving man he volunteered his time at st Vincent de Paul for more years than I can remember to parking cars in the rain to cold days in the basement of the church handing out groceries he did it with a smile on his face. There are many stories of good deeds but one I will mentioned was one Christmas an older lady called because she didn't get her Christmas hamper but...
