We were very sorry to hear of Robert's passing. We learned this from one of Chris' friends here in Monterey and got this web page from Chris when we communicated.

What an impressive life of accomplishments and family and friends. We enjoyed meeting both Robert and Virgina when they visited Monterey a few years ago. Our main connection was sailing but also marine biology.

We hope that the family and friends of Robert are doing as well as could be expected at this time.
