I recently jogged the Western Illinois University 2024 5K Fallen Soldier with my oldest daughter, who is in the Illinois National Guard. I jogged with my great memories of Bob, who was a friend, mentor, and my MSG at 75th Div. I pray God has provided comfort .

I am truely sorry to hear of Bob's passing. He was a mentor of mine as a young Army Sergeant at Jefferson Barracks, MO so many years ago (est 1994-2004). I appreciated greatly his ability to balance work and fun, and be great at them both. I will miss his funny cackeling laugh and his funny faces with bulging eye look to help easy the stress of the moment. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family that he deeply loved. We'll see you in Heaven, Bob.

Thank you to Bob's family for sharing him with our men and women in uniform be they military or civilian. He touched many lives during his service to our Nation and for that we are thankful.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends. Please take comfort in the words found at 2nd Thessalonians 2: 16,17.
