Dear Family, I am Peter Berres, I was Bob's close friend in HS, we joined the army together on the 'Buddy System' - which meant little as we were separated after our swearing in and sent to different basic training posts. I saw him one more time, in Vietnam in the summer of 1968 as I recall. I had been in country for about six months when he arrived, we spent a few hours together before he was sent to another part of the country. I lost contact with him after that.

Bob was a man who lived his faith every day. One of the kindest most genuine people
I have ever met. His hope was his treasure and he delighted in sharing it. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy. He will wake up without pain in a paradise earth.
