Not sure what to say?

I just learned unfortunately of Mr. Pierce's passing and I wanted to send my condolences, even this late to his wife Chris and family. He was my advanced placement English teacher in 1990-91. Mr. Pierce shaped not only my writing skills and grammatic prose, but his intelligence, wit, and passion for teaching left a lasting life impression. Every few years, I pull out my copy of Winesburg Ohio, (still have my copy, torn and highlighted). Mr Pierce always pushed me to find my academical best,...

To the Pierce family, especially his children, my prayers and condolences go out to you. I have so much I can say about Mr. Pierce, my high school English teacher both sophomore and senior years. He was extremely influential -- I write and do Public Affairs for a career now.

Mr. Pierce was an amazing teacher, and I was lucky enough to have him my senior year. Though my heart is heavy to hear of his passing, I choose to remember what a great sense of humor he had. And constantly trying to sneak in a smoke while we were in Appalachia any chance he could.

Thank you for setting the right example in service. Your life will live on in SITES

My condolences to Roberts Family and love ones. I am sorry for your loss Chris. Had the privilege to work with him through the SITES program as it related to the city's DARE program. Outstanding person and teacher who cared for every student under his care. North Olmsted High school was a better place because of him and he will be missed.

Rob - I'm so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Mrs. Pierce and family I am at a loss of words over the loss of Mr. Pierce. He was an outstanding teacher, mentor and all around friend. He was not afraid to tell you like it was. May you find comfort during your time of loss. I know the entire SITES family is thinking of you all.
