Not sure what to say?

Listened to some of his music today and felt the pain of his loss again. You made everyone sing, good or bad voice. Miss you Bob.

To the Piercy Family,
To know Bob was to know joy and laughter and love. Bob managed to bring fun to just about any task or situation. He was a man of faith who touched a lot of lives, including mine. Peace be with you!

To the Piercy Family;
I had the privilege of knowing Bob for over 28 years in many roles: first, as my 7/8th grade music teacher at St. Mary Immaculate grade school; secondly, as a mentor musician/liturgist; third, as a colleague and finally as a friend. I was humbled to have been part of his anointing service in February, to give him a strong hug and let him know just how many kids' lives he'd touched over the years - all for good. We all know Bob always had the courage to be his own...

Dear Judy and Debbie, Mr. and Mrs. Piercy, and your family,

My heartfelt sympathy to you. I remember Bob at St. Mary's as enthusiastic and a leader filled with love. May you rest in the knowledge that he is celebrating with Jesus. Those left behind are the ones who are grieving their loss of Bob. Know you are in my prayers.

Sincerely,
Trudy Irwin Wille

Deb, Mary Ann (whom I just met a few days ago) and family, I am very sorry for your loss. I didn't know your brother but he must have been very special and talented and gone from this life much too soon.

To all of Robert's sisters whom I grew up with at the Joliet YMCA, you are in my thoughts. Ruth Mackey Silverman

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

I was so sad to learn just moments ago about Bob's passing. Bob and I met many years ago at a Catholic musician gathering at the NCCYM in Cincinnatti. While sitting at the same table we realized that we shared our unusual recollection of TV show theme songs. We enjoyed the attempt to stump each other for a bit. Bob was responsible for the inclusion of one of my songs in his project for GIA, "Give Your Gifts II." I will be forever grateful to him for that honor.

God's peace to Bob...

May God's comfort embrace all of Bob's family and friends as we remember how Bob embraced all of us with his zest for the Lord, liturgy and life. He taught me how to give myself fully as a pastoral musician and liturgist, how to live with gratitude and grace and most importantly, how to love unconditionally even as we face death. God's gift of Bob will always be treasured and I know he is now "energizing" heaven!
