Robert Faget "Chuck" Pitard Esq.

Robert "Chuck" Faget Pitard, Esq., age 80, of Mandeville, La. passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. He was born on February 14, 1943 in New Orleans, LA to Robert John Pitard, Esq., and Dr. Shelby James (Faget) Pitard. Chuck is survived by his beloved wife, Julie Graff Pitard; his children Stephen Pitard (Celeste), Heather Pitard Dempsey (Keith), Jason Pitard (Eleanore) and Justin Pitard (Christy) and ten grandchildren Alyssa, Aiden, Jonathan, Avery, Bella, Cohen, Claire, Catherine, Violet and Robin. He is also survived by his siblings Andrée Faget Pitard, Esq. (Dr. Mark Ellis) and Dr. Edward Faget Pitard. Chuck is preceded in death by his parents and his siblings Hon. Michaelle Pitard Wynne (Bill) and Adele Faget Pitard. Chuck was raised in New Orleans and graduated from De La Salle High School before earning his undergraduate Pre-Law Degree from University of Southern Mississippi and his Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School. He was a successful entrepreneur who specialized in real estate development. Chuck had many hobbies. He logged thousands of hours as an instrument rated private pilot and was a frequent scuba diver. He was a member of the Louisiana Bridge Association and a Sapphire Life Master. He loved skiing, playing racquetball, gardening, traveling, collecting cameras and telling stories of his life, but most of all Chuck loved his family. He was a force for this world and will be terribly missed. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Monday, January 15, 2024 at Grace Funeral Home, 450 Holy Trinity Drive, Covington, LA 70433 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A celebration of life will follow visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Chuck may be made to Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center.
