Robert William Pitcairn

I must say this took me quite a bit by surprise. I had the pleasure of working with Bob for several years during the time I scheduled crude and products for BP Texas City refinery. Bob and Inspectorate would also visit us in the Chicago area and in MY mind... Bob Pitcairn is a big reason why I enjoyed working with Inspectorate. When I think of Bob... I think of his upbeat attitude, his customer focus, his love of golf and Chicago pizza... and just his persona as a high energy and fun guy to...

Once again running thru joliet obits to see if anyone I know, and Bob's picture pops up. Hard to believe, I knew Bob from countless encounters as a outside gauger coming to Mobil Refenery Joliet to gauge out Mobil tankage, and countless barges over the course of the years. Sorry to see Bob's passing.

RIP Bob. We had great times growing up playing sports and sleepovers in the Pitcairn garage.

May God bless you, and keep you in his care, and wrap his loving arms around your family and friends, giving them peace and comfort during this time, and the days to come.

Oh my GOD, I cannot believe we lost another 1982 classmate!!! My prayers go out to you Pitcairn family, I am in shock and devastated....RIP Rob, you were a great friend...God has you in his arms now so watch over us; and I hope your at peace!
